The Lumen Room is an on-campus resource centre, run by volunteer student coordinators.
Mission:
The Lumen Room is a peer-led safer space for the promotion of health and justice. We create and curate resources to clarify and complexify ideas about Sex Gender and Sexuality.
Our goals are to:
- Provide the student body with a safe-space to hang out, study, have meetings, make friends, etc.
- Provide as many varieties of free of charge safer-sex resources to the student body as possible. We currently offer: condoms (regular, latex-free, extra large, & non-lubricated), female condoms, lube, and dental dams. We are always working on acquiring a bigger selection.
- Provide educational and informational resources related to identity and health to the student body. These can take physical form, housed in the Lumen Room, online form housed here, on this site, or referral form (i.e. we can direct you towards helpful local resources external to Quest).
- Organize fun, interesting, new events that promote dialogue, education, and understanding within the Quest community.
